Hey, guys what's this thing about H.I.D's having a warm up and cool down period? I got a pair of Valeo's and G3 Ballasts, and D2S bulbs coming, Dan's going to to the retro for me, but I haven't heard of this warm up and cool down stuff... seems like a drag... could I get a little more input on this topic, thanks!

when you turn them on, they need to stay on a few minutes, and when you turn em off, you have to wait a few minutes before turning them back on. if you don't, the bulb life and ballast will get damaged. one time prolly wont blow the bulb, but do it alot and your setup will be garbage in less than a year.

Oh, I see thanks, it shouldn't be a problem for me then, since I don't tend to turn on and off my headlights, do you know about how many minutes one should have the H.I.Ds kept on, once you have turned them on? My job is close to my house, so it doesn't take me more than like 5-10 mins to get home at night.
