HID-->Tyc-->Fiberglassed Problem

Okay, my front bumper on my civic is Fiberglassed in so i cant take it off in order to take the TYC Projects out. The TYC projectors use H1 HID bulbs, and people are saying the whoel has to be bigger... can this be done without taking the lights out?... Please let me know, i have to make the purchase very soon

yea man.. you're gonna have to find a way to take the bumper off... its kinda hard to drill that hole out, and you're prolly gonna wanna have a good vacuum right behind the drill/right next to the hole to suck out all the metal bits that fly off so they dont end up in the headlight..

you can't avoid the bits of plastic and metal that will get into the headlights. it's best to take the entire headlight apart and give the projector (lens and bowl) a proper cleaning before you put it together again.

your "freiend" is retarded. tyc uses H1 bulbs for low and high. if you would've searched, you could've found that info out.

not unless you and your drill are incredibly flexible.

let me see if I'm reading this issue right.

In order to change the bulbs, the in/out opening needs to be opened up more by filling?

No man, my bumper is fiberglassed to the fenders, i cant take the headlights out. In order to put TYC Hid Bulbs in you need to drill in the whole more, so i was wonderinf if this drilling can be done with the light STILL on the car instead of taking it out. Cleaning i is not a problem, just the drilling.

Because, as you cannot read, his bumper is fiberglassed (or molded) to his fenders.

Honestly, perhaps you could manage the flexibility with dropping the motor out of the way - but I don't see how that should be considered the route to go.
