first mistake: you bought a kit. second mistake: you bought mculloch.

for now, i would suggest you aim them lower. you're going to be pissing off a lot of people.

mculloch has the highest fail rate and no customer support from what i have heard. kits are bad to buy because they are "universal" and we all know that universal products will never perform 100%. also, the kit companies are just out for money. they don't care about glare or useable light.

lol the glare won't go away. Thats from the crappy kit. When I had my catz kit, I had hardly any glare. The best way is to retrofit or just go back to halogen. You'll get pulled over sooner or later anyway since they're illegal.

lol where have you guys been? Its been illegal to put hid on a car that doesn't have them from the factory for over a year now. You can get away with doing an expensive retrofit, where basically you take an oem hid bulb and projector and stick it in some projector lights. So it looks just like the real car it came from. Those kits where you just put hid bulbs in are dangerous and way too much glare. But yeah its been illegal. Vendors aren't even supposed to be sellin em but I guess they can say its for offroad use only.

I'm not sure if this helps, but some people put eyelids on that cover the top quarter of the headlight. Blacking them out won't really affect light output unless you paint the whole thing but then you'll have less light than halogen. Do your bulbs have a half-shield around them? If not you can get those online somewhere. They're called glare sheilds.
