Another Yellow Light Question
Hey guys! I am looking into getting a set of Yellowlights for my 05 vic. I am running silverstars now but am getting mtec cosmos soon. I wanted to run Yellow lights in the highbeams. Cops are fussy around here. Anybody have this setup ?(Pics) What brand name would you suggest ?

something like http://www.brightheadlights-hid.com/...-harnesses.htm could be used to get all (4) of the lights to come on at the same time

So do you think they would work good as high beams ? I have Toucan Xenon Fusion in for highs now and they don't help at all not much brighter than my Silverstar low beams !!

silverstar i bet isn't that great either. stock is the brightest, and can be made brighter with an upgraded wire harness. I have one from suvlights.com and can tell there's alot more light on the ground and whiter too. Yellow is very easy for our eyes to see at night compared to white. stock halogen is around 3200k, yellow nokya around 2500k, and those ricer bulbs around 4k but they also have a coating that reduces light output to make it look whiter. So yes yellow would help alot in the hi beam, but I would switch the low beam to something else if the silverstar isn't very bright.
I just burnt my tongue

check out my thread...i have some pix of the yellow lights...they are the nokya hyper yellow (2500K) ....very nice light output...the pix i have up were taken during day time so it doesnt look as bright but they are pretty bright and the light travels further than silverstars...i used to have silverstars but they burnt out in 2 months

either way make sure that you get the proper wattage. don't be tricked into thinking that 100w is better (unless you have an upgraded wiring harness)

i don't think mtec gets very yellow. 3300k is actually the same color as stock. I would definately go with nokya. No they're not 80w, it just says that on the box. Its actually 55w = 80w so they seem brighter even tho wattage is the same. Search for them on ebay.
