dilverstar is pos now barely lasts a month. mtec are good and also luk's metal white if you just want a good white looking light without regard to light output. stock is always brighter due to clear bulb.

silverstar burns out in a couple months. also check www.ambulbs.com
that means you have an 04-05. Any bulbs you pic, even though 9006 is meant to be your low beam, get 9005. on the inside of the bulb harness of the bulb, you will find two lines, you shave those off . Otherwise the 9006/9005 bulbs have the same base, so you put them in and hook them up. Do this becuase high beams bulbs come non coated and comparing the silverstare, the 9005 put out 1700 lumens while the 9006 put 1000 or 1200. I forgot but it is one of those. More lumens means more light out put. Not really alot more, but since they are the same price, what the hey. I have had good experiences with mtec, silverstars and crystal visions which are mainly sold in europe but can be found over here if you look. The mtec will be the bluest with the later two not having any coating

the H4 users are people who have 2001-2003 civics. you have a 2004-2005 civic, so you use 9006 for low and 9005 for high. no modifying of harness needed.
Sylvania Silverstars - I have absolutely no idea what the fascination with these bulbs is. They suck, plain and simple. It's not that they dont last, because they do. They claim to be whiter and give off more light output than stock. I had them in my car side by side, they're ****. This was on an H4 on a 1998 Civic CX Hatchback. They were yellow, and wasn't much brighter than stock.
Mtec Super White - Incredible, closest I've ever seen to 'hid', as stupid as that sounds. Pull up beside a 1999 Acura 3.2 TL, and they look VERY similar to each other. I have one set from Impulse off this board, and one bulb lasted about 11 months, just burned out, but the other one is going strong. Just ordered and received my new set, replaced the burned out one. Great set of bulbs! The color is JUST right, 4350K, nice white with no hints of blue. Great output, much better than stock @ 80W I believe. Highly recommended.
I now have an 04 Civic with 9006 bulbs, so it might be that my H4's put out less light? I dont know, but the Silverstars looked pathetic to me.

ya really! my bro was showing me stock vs silverstar and i'm like aren't they the same? he's getting the luks cause they make both bulbs for fogs and headlights. otherwise mtec is also great. i remember the thread about it a while back with like 50+ people saying mtec owns.
silver stars - running for about half a year during fall/winter seasons. no problems yet and i like them better than the factory one. their was a time where one of my piaas blew out and i replaced it with a silverstar since it was closest to the color temp (piaa = 4150k/silverstar = 3800k). i was running one OEM and one piaa 4150k bulb and after i replaced the OEM with the silverstar, i noticed better lighting on the road. on the side, i adjusted my headlights so they'd aim higher for better visibility. no regrets about silverstars. matter of fact, my 2nd piaa blew out few days ago and i replaced that with another silverstar.
piaa xtreme white - lasted about 2 years give or take. compared to the silverstars, i would prob say the piaa gave out better lighting output on dark dry roads. but during rain...i wouldnt even notice it if someone were to change my bulbs to oem without me knowing.
overall, silverstar > piaa > oem. im expecting these silverstars to last me at least 2 years like my piaas. if not, then looks like ill be rooting for piaa for bulbs til then.

The mtecs are nice. I had my mtecs for almost 2yrs before i finished my retrofit. But honestly there all pretty much the same. I didn't see a difference between the mtecs and some $15 hyper white 4300k bulbs you can buy at Target.
The hyper whites are nice, but they are horrible for rain. All the white light gets reflected back. I wouldn't pay more then $20 for hyper whites though.
The mtecs are 55w but they output like 80w by the way.
