Whelan is an unknown quantity at this point

Does it have to be 7443?

I am goin to get another pair of hyperwhite turns for my car but I am not going to be buying 7443. I dont want a dual filament as when the parking lights are on you cannot see the angel eyes. Right now I have the single filaments in but they are not hyperwhite so they only go on when turning.

Any bad effects from this?

Well I already have 7440 in there, single filament so only the signal works. But since there is no parking filament it does not go on.

what you're doing shouldn't be bad imo...you're just not completing the circuit to turn on the other filament. so the only complete circuit is when it turns the signal on....
