discolored headlights...

discolored headlights...

well my stupid lazy *** never aligned my right headlight lowbeam projector...so it has slowely discoloured the chrome housing (halo projectors)....Im gonna be opening up my headlight assembly...is there anything that will maybe get rid of the discolouring??? like CLR or some ****...

you can notice too much, but I CAN...and its buggin me!

improperly aligning your headlights won't make it discolor. cheap material that doesn't have a proper UV coating will, though.

ok let me elaborate on this....the clear plastic lense is fine...what happen was that when I got the headlights one was shifted real bad, to the point where the light was projecting down enough where it was actually hitting the chrome housing...my other headlight is fine because it was perfect...

Im 100% sure this is the issue....not to be a **** head, I wasnt asking why it happened (even though I appreciate your response), I was asking if there is anything on the market that can restore the chrome housing, cleaners like C.L.R. maybe....again...the clear cover is fine, the chrome is a bit discolored

paint it black?...there's chrome spray paint at wally-mart. don't know if it will withstand temperatures near the headlights

ah yeah i didnt understand what you were asking for. i don't know of any product that will restore chrome to...chrome. you could try painting it with a "chrome" metallic paint, but it won't match at all. the only way to restore chrome is to redip them...
