M3 Mirror Led Help, Can I Do This?

I have the m3 mirrors with the led and I want to know if I can push the signal light part out too clean it? will it pop out? or should I just not try it? please help, thanks. Here's a pic of the mirror's I have.

Whelan is an unknown quantity at this point

I paid $52 for mine as well from Ebay, I have to still get them painted this summer. I would the best thing to do is to look behind the mirror part with a flashlight and see if its popped in place or not.
