HID kit gurus - experience/comments with this bi-xenon kit?
Saw it on eBay. Comments?
I haven't been checking out H4 bi-xenon kits in awhile, but this kit looks pretty decent.
- All parts (appear to be) McCulloch
- Moveable shield appears to be qutie sturdy
- Shady dealer? It's an eBay auction. Support number is in Los Angeles, yet the pictures are hosted in a directory for a Taiwanese chemical company?! His eBay responses are good though.
Only problem is I've never seen this kind of kit, and how good/bad these shields are.
Side question: Are those HID bulbs "standard" HID bulbs that I can get from ANY dealer? Or are these rebased bulbs, specific to this kit? (Some bulbs I see for sale online have no wires coming out of the back)

CLOSED POSITION

OPEN POSITION

Is this a "standard" HID bulb?

(Assuming I can separate the bulb from the shield)

it might work, but those aren't standard d2s bulbs. those are some cheap no-name brand bulbs (white return line = cheap bulbs). i personally wouldn't trust a high/low kit that moves a shield, but you may have good luck with it
