Rep Power: 0 Hid Retrofit - Need Advice
Howdy Guys/Gals,
Ok so I'm planning on picking up HIDs from Danscreations. He is selling stock ballasts, igniters, and bulbs. Bought it all brand new from the Acura dealership (Honda Parts) for a TSX for $350 + shipping. At first I thought he was also going to include projectors, but after reading the thread again I don't think so anymore. I already sent a deposit to him so the hids are mine. What I really want though is to get HID with projectors. I've tried to research a little here and there, but I'm still unsure of what HID Projectors I should purchase. What do you guys recommend? Whats a fair price for them?
Heres the link to danscreations thread (http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=206415) If you could please read his post and tell me if i'm right about him not giving me projectors. I really thought the price included it, now I'm not sure. Is it a good buy?

Rep Power: 281 Yes there are no projectors cause I PMed him bout it. As far as the prices go IMO its a little bit high. You can prob get a whole TSX set for 450 if youre looking in the right place.

Rep Power: 0 Dan seems nice enough. I just called him I told him I misunderstood him and ask for my money back. He said he would give me a call back when he gets to the shop. Dunno what that means. But I sure do hope he give me my money back. I need it to get the lights!
Turtle thanks for looking that up! I kinda want the TSX projectors though. They say those are easy to retrofit into my 05 civic. I'm not a super handy man so I don't want something that will invovle way to much cutting, cuz I know i'm going to screw up somewhere.

Rep Power: 0 Hey turtle, U have TSX projectors? Can you send me some pics of what your install consisted of? Any chance you have time sometime during the summer to help me install these babies? Seeing as how you've done it before it would be nice to have someone that knows what they are doing.

Rep Power: 0 s2ks are costly i guess valeos are too. The AUDI TT, and 3 Series projectors are exactly the same. They are the smallest projectors made and U can get them on ebay for like 115.

Rep Power: 280 d2s valeos are more rare than the h7 valeos. at least thats what i've seen. h7 valeos need an adapter to hold the d2s bulb. i might do another retrofit and put my setup for sale. but not sure yet. i'm planning on doing d2s valeo or tsx projectors

Rep Power: 410 valeo is usually the same, unless you're asking about high beam/low beam differences. there is H7 or D2S, DOT or ECE valeo low beam projectors. then there are the D2S DOT valeo bi-xenon projectors. i have valeos in my car atm, but i'm switching to ZKW bi-xenons (off of a newer 3 series).

Rep Power: 292 just go with H7 Valeo halogen projectors. They work really well with hid d2s bulbs using H7 adapters. Thats wat i have on my car right now. Alot of people go with that set up. You might consider goin DOT instead of ECE due to the high flare. Well its up to u.

Rep Power: 0 Where did u get yours?
Heres a pic of my current problem. This is the driver side area behind the low beam connector.
Right behind the damn connector is the windshield wiper resuvior. Theres only once inch between the connector and the plastic tube. I really dunno how I'll fit anything between that.

Rep Power: 410 in regards to the issue on space, that's why it's so fun to undertake such a fun project! when you're putting projectors into a headlight, it's not the same as putting a bulb into a headlight. you have to open the headlight and drill **** so that the projector will fit. if you do it correctly, you won't have any problems.

Rep Power: 410 click the link in my sig for retro completed. those are the projectors (just imagine fresnel lense on them instead of clear). they will more than likely fit your housings, but it won't be direct plug and play. output is:
