Doing another retrofit
I bought some ZKW Bi-xenon projectors and just got them in. This will HOPEFULLY solve my problem of no high beams. Anyways, getting to the point, should i retrofit them into the TYC headlights or the OEM headlights? Reason I ask is because the ZKW's are HUGE! They're about twice the width and height in the rear when compared to Valeo projectors. Also, I have to make sure that the bi-xenon solenoid works without getting caught on anything.

yeah...too much maybe.
anyways, i might be doing a retrofit for 2 other members (doctor and taz757). we have to see how much time i have doing 3 retrofits though.

pics comparing H7 Valeo with ZKW bi-xenon. the valeos fit the TYCs no problem. it's plug and play, basically, with almost no room to spare. so you can sort of see where my problem sits.

lol i need JB weld and a dremel. sheesh. i'm playing around with my spare TYC set and they need to be cut to all hell just to get the back part of these projectors in place
what i might suggest is to go for Hella 90 mm bi-xenon instead of those huge projectors, cuz you have yo cut too much housing in order to fit them.
Also fyi I have set of hella`s for sale or trade in for TYCs in black

i was forced to take my headlights off today (state inspection = failed), so i decided to test out the zkw's. let me say that i am quite impressed by the cutoff and output. i'll let the pics explain the rest.

why'd they fail you? cuz they found out it was a retrofit? and how often do you need to get inspected? just put it back on
