Exclamation Please Help me LED question PIC Added

Hey guys..

I just bought some eurolight blue alarm leds to put in my headlights so that when i turn the car off and lock the doors i engage the leds in the headlights...
I have no money for an alarm and I just want to put these on there to deter against theft and also i think it will look kool...

Anyways can an expert here please tell me how to wire them up so that when I engage or lock my car with the Honda remote the leds will start to Flash....

Thanks

As usual there is a red black white green wires

Well this will be very tricky. There is no blinking off/on power source, so you need to get a blinker led and hook it to a continuous power source that is controled by the door locks. Can't really think of anything. Also, that blue led will attract more attention to your car than not having any. I always walk up to those cars and see what's inside even tho I'm not a thief.

my guess, would be, get an inverter and blinking LEDs. hook up the inverter to the power wire to goes to your cigarette(sp?) lighter plug. then hook up leds and resistors. this way, any time you take out your keys, it will start to blink. this is probably the easiest way that i can think off other than messing with your door lock wires and what not.
and yeah, i would go with some red leds instead of blue ones and put them in the usual place that an alarm would put.

I think those lights attract too much attention, like gearbox said.. I think you should just save money and get an actual alarm... but its upto you!

I saw a 5th gen hatch with the same thing....looked damn nice, I was afraid to go near it, and I used to break into **** for a living...they do attract a lot of attention, I noticed his from 500 feet away, but if you want it, go for it....find out the amp/voltage specs (exact specs) and I'll try to run up a list of stuff from radio shack that would work.

red and green go to a constant +12 power source, you can hook that up to the battery directly or any other constant location. For the white wire that should only show +12 when the car is on, i would grab it behind the cigarette lighter. I believe its a yellow wire, or if you have an aftermarket HU, tap into the red wire in the harness. Then ground the black one in a convient spot. That should work. You'r might have to extend the wires, it doesnt look like the box was made to be in the engine bay.

I've been searching and searching Viper, and I can't seem to find any accessible power source for your car that goes constant when your doors get locked. I say move black to ground, red fused to a direct 12v (tap the white wire in the ignition harness in the steering column...FUSE it!), then tap the LED unit's white wire to the ignition wire, which will be the black wire with yellow stripe, also in the ignition harness in the steering column). grenloch's suggestion of using the cigarette lighter 12v should also work fine. My way will turn off the LED's as soon as your key is in position II, whereas his will turn off the LED's when your key is in the ACC (I) position. Personal preference at this point for you.
