projectors with hid's

heylo all .

i recently just brought an after market projector headlamps for my 2001 sedan civic.
my hid's are towards whitish/purplish (8000k i think)
when i installed these hid's to the projectors, the hids gave me a yellow shade just as any normal bulbs would do . but when i changed the hids to the normal headlights , it gave me purplish.

i then asked the shop keeper and he told me tht the colour of the lens was yellow thts y i gave yellow colour. and then he showed me his evo 7 which had the same thing (purple on start up ) (and bcame yellow after a while).

i have seen Honda accords with purple shades on their projectors does this mean they have a purple lens :S ? how can i get this purple lens plz help

p.s= the projectors i have are from some SONAR company .
thanks

1. Are you sure they're HIDs?
2. Have you thought about a retrofit? This involves swapping the actual projector unit with something from another OEM (i.e. Audi A4/S4 projectors, BMW 3 series projectors).
3. The projectors shouldn't have any tint on them, AFAIK. Maybe Sonar tints them to make them appear to be purple from onlookers/traffic facing you.

I've installed Sonar projectors before - they're just headlight assembly replacement, definitely not meant for HID.
