H4 socket cover

H4 socket cover
i installed my HIDs today, everything went fine but i have a question about the stock socket harness. so one wire goes in the top socket, one in the bottom right, dont i need to cover up the open one in case rain or water gets there? did anyone cover theres up or protect somehow? cuz right now mine is open just tucked away a little bit.

electric tape 
there is also an electric gunk you can buy that you should be using anyways (so that water cant get in), Ill get the name of the product for you. Electrical tape will work though.
