Is this why led bulbs burn out?
I read that putting leds in the same housing as headlights (like turn signal leds) will cause them to burn out very fast due to excessive heat. Is this true? I hope not cause I bought alot of leds just now.

Crap I just spent like $40 on leds for signals and marker lights with load resistors. And my headlights are hid, so they're really gonna get cooked. Man this sucks cause they're supposed to outlast regular bulbs. Maybe ebay is just crappy?

I cant read Japanese (maybe find a translating site) but...

You get the idea
LEDs do die from a lot of heat... But, shouldnt die because they are in the headlights.

I was at the bmw dealership and all I saw were orange bulbs for the turn signal. I've seen some with parking leds, but not for the signal.

Anyways, Even if it has them for the parking light, that means the LED is still in the headlight
take some pictures when you get them

I've seen the 7 series and those signals are bright (the strip on top). I think they're just bulbs that they did a good job of hiding.

It's the dealership. Soo, if the bulb replacements don't work, what else can I do?Do they sell brighter ones that can be modded to fit?

Call up the company where you got them from and ask how good they are

the new 5-serie uses led for turn signal on the top of the headlight housing.. then again, i think that part is pretty isolated from the hi/lo beams.
I know that dealership!!!
