Need lighting advice!

hey guys
well i posted this under lighting but nobody gives any advice there except one guy(gearbox) and hes given me some good ideas but i thought maybe this forum would be of more help. i want some more opinions, so i decided to put it here cuz it is still advice!

well my buddy gave me this neon stuff for my interior. im in the midst of adding some interior neons under the steering colum and under the seats. Give it some life cuz right now its too plain inside.

What it does is, when powered, its a wire of blue light. it looks pretty tight actually. he gave me a few feet of it, maybe 6-8 feet or so, and i dunno where to put it that wont look tacky. any ideas on where to put it that will look good? And please, if im gonna hear the whole "thats rice" thing kindly leave your opinions out.

Anyways, I havent seen this stuff in any cars and if i do it right, i think it'll look nice. Any suggestions on where to put it besides trunk? My car aint a show car so if it goes in the trunk it'll be wasted, id much rather enjoy it in the car, question is, where?!

Thanks in advance!

In my opinion that stuff is wack....

But if you are going to do it, there is a seem where two parts of your dash come together, it runs accross the dash....stick it in there....*shrug*

Not sure if this will work, but run it at the edge of the roofliner so that the wire isn'ty visible, but you can still see a soft glow effect coming from the sides. It will only work if the sides are open tho. Shouldn't be that bright, either.

tuck it up under the dash but so that the light shines down on yer feet..
but if you really want to be able to see that "movie theater aisle" lighting.. go to a hardware store and get the lil clips that are use to run wires along walls and mount them to the bottom of the dash.. id get the sticky kind for now.. if you decide you want to keep it they sell ones that attach with screws/bolts..

since its blue i wouldnt put it anywhere that it stands out a lot cuz chances are cops wont like that at all..

Derek had it. I'm assuming you're talking about the light rope. There's a crease where the lower portion of the dash meets the part up top kind of perpendicular to the front window. You can run it in there, which is where most people I have saw with it put it. Don't know if there's still pics of D's ride on here, but if I remember correctly, that's where he had it as well.

Diver is on a distinguished road
another possibility, and not sure how feasble it is, is to run it
along the center console where the carpet meets the plastic
It would be low profile and should help supplementthe the
other neon parts that you are placing in your car

wow.. back form the dead..

run it behind the dash and drill into the vents so that lights come out of the vents.. that would be pretty nifty

Nice I just did under dash neons and wired to cig lighter to turn on with car. The vents seem like alot more work, and I've got enough blue anyway.

Whoa old topic.
Hmm 5 feet isn't going to take you very far. I always thought it would be cool to outline an amp rack or something with that stuff.
