Headlight aiming
Theres a DIY for how to aim your lights.
These directions are univeral...doesn't matter if you have projectors or stock housings.
Once you find the gears to adjust the TYCs the DIY applies the same way.

that's all you ever would need to know about aiming anything....and turning the screw right makes it go up, left is down, i think...

stamp on the light fixture is where your (L<-->R) stamp appears. Also, my (L<-->R)
stamp is on an plastic piece that runs from the light assembly to the drivers side
fender (near where yours is stamped (U<-->D), but closer to the fender). Note that
I'm comparing the same headlight that you show, the drivers side.
I don't see any serrated adjustor accessible through the hole in the frame where
you show a screw driver passing through the whole in the frame.
I find one serrated adjustor on the back of the light assembly between the
stampings for Up-Down and Left-Right, but it's not clear if that adjustor is for
Left-Right or Up-Down (since it's smack in between the two stampings on the
light housing and because I can't locate the second adjustor).
Can anyone who owns a 2004 clarify the location of the adjustors (a pic would be
nice, if possible) with clarification on which adjustor adjusts what.

The TYC's have adjustment screws on the back of the housing... some of which are not accessible unless you take the headlights off the car. This is my only complaint about the TYC's (yes I have a set).
Just pop your hood and look at the back of the lights.... you'll see a couple of metal screws sticking out... those are to adjust them.
Now... as to which does what... I don't remember, you'll have to figure that out for yourself...
Have fun! I had a fvcking b!tch of a time trying to adjust mine.

I hate aiming TYCs... Either way you turn the aiming screw, it will do a totally different thing.
Example: The beam may have to go to the right just a little... So, you adjust it to the right. But, wait.. Not only did it go too far to the right but, It also went too high! so, Lets go a little to the left and a little down... Then you get more ****ed up.
So... With that said, Just mess around with each screw little by little

If all you can find is one gear, then crap! Sedans have been downgraded to coupe parts!
My DIY was based on a 2001 Sedan housing.
I guess 2004 use the same crap as coupes?
Crap meaning it only has up/down adjustability.

light) and all I can locate is one adjustor on my 2004 Civic sedan. Your pictures
show an adjustor through the frame hole. That adjustor sits right in front of the
A/C compressor pulley in your pic. That adjustor doesn't exist anymore on the
2004 sedan. The other adjustor is located (and appears to match) the pictures
you show of the second adjustor. On my 2004, this is an Up-Down adjustor I
verified that this weekend.
I believe (80% certain) that the 2004 Civic sedan only has Up-Down adjustment
capability. The strange thing is that the housing is stamped to indicate that both
adjustments are available, but I sure can't find a second adjustor. It's also strange
that they located the actual adjustor in between the stamp marks on the light
housing that show U<-->D R<-->L. Maybe they just wanted to play with my
mind. :-)
