OEM fog light off/on switch questions

OEM fog light off/on switch questions I have a set of oem fog lights without the fog light switch. So I ghetto rigged a simple on/off switch, that I bought from Radioshack.
No I want to take out the ghetto switch. My question is there are two wires that go to the on off switch, now if I connect those wires will my fog lights still work when i turn them off and on via headlight switch?
