Yeah really. I feel like my car is among the more expensive population on the road! I think it confuses people when I pass from behind and then they just see civic tails. Especially with other civic owners... You should have seen the look on this guys face when I was turning in front of him with a bright sidemarker flashing in his face. Now he's gonna wonder why his civic didn't come with HID or sidemarkers lol

This is why people tell you that Phillips HID kits aren't really made by Phillips.
Those kits come with Phillips bulbs but the ballast/ignitors aren't by Phillips.
Catz is 100% Catz and nothing else.

Well, it`s just not actual true
original Philips hid kit has only rebased bulbs and they are made in Aughen, Germany, it is same factory producing regular Philips bulbs and etc. The ballast with in-build ignitor is made only by Philips also, although lots of small manufactures are using Philips stuff and as far as I know some "quite" honest of them just change labels and use to sale it under their own names.I`m not really sure, but Ive heard from someone that Catz seems made by Matsu as well, just different division with own brand name.At least I can say like that only regarding my Philips from HIDonline.

The best part about everything is pulling behind a nice white car... Why? Because, You just light it up... With my lights you will see a nice colorband of blue/purple with triangular marks. Its fun pulling up and having people give u the confused face

And you know they're going back to the dealer tomorrow and ask about them
Especially where I'm from, there are silver sedans ALL over the place! I think mine's the only modded one so far. Oh wait. I did see one in my parking lot once. Had an exhaust covered with salt, crooked yellowish sidemarkers, chrome projectors, front half of car painted a different color silver, blue fogs, omg it was terrible. It looked just like the evil rice twin of my car.

whats up gearbox, i want exactly the same setup as you. Did you get any special deals for price or anything? What did you pay? Plus, i heard that with the H4 hi/low, they may cause problems by sticking in high. Is this true? Your's swap back and forth fine? thanks. How long did the install take? And, since they are in the factory housing, do they shine farther, or same far? Sorry the the 20 questions

I got a really good deal. Paid around $365 used from another member. The same kit used to go for around $750 when they were still legal.
I've switch to high and low a few times with no probs. It actually is a solenoid that pops the bulb back so light reflects further and from the sides. It's cool, but I rarely use the fars anyway.
Install took a few hours, and wiring was easy when using the diagram. Hardest part was trying to hide all the hardware (and there was alot of it). And I had to slightly bend the power steering reservoir so it doesn't hit the ballast. Other than that, everything went fine. The light pattern is exactly like regular stock bulbs, except with tons more light on the road.
