I got HID installed (NEW pics)!
Wooo! They're installed and so awesome. Catz 4300K H4 kit with high/low beam. Stays blue for first 30 secs, then turns to a bright white. I finally finished installing them in the stock housing. Wires were crazy and tons of stuff to hide everywhere. I did everything so there's no way to know I have them by looking under the hood.
They seem to be aimed still, and I haven't been flashed yet. They light up the road so well!
Pics of the new, redesigned engine bay and HID lights coming soon.
Here are my old sylvania cool blue. Not bad, but very dim on the road.

When lights are first turned on:

After warm up: pure white

And a far shot

My new engine bay with black painted optima yellow battery and silver tie. Also took off the neuspeed sticker. Looks alot cleaner.

A day pic of the HID light:

Oh and btw, the cool blues are for sale. $15 shipped for the pair. They're only 2 months old, and the previous pair lasted two years!
They look good.
I got flashed by everyone when I first put my kit on and left the aim as is.
I had fun flashing everyone back lol.
Post up a vid if you can. I want to see the difference between your kits start up and mine.

Well when I was taking pics, they really only stayed blue for about 10 secs. Then after 30secs, they were the normal white color.
So I'm guessing that the other expensive cars have blue tint HID because of the housing, right? Cause almost every manufacturer uses the pure white 4000-4400K bulbs.

I'll try and find a wall tonight maybe. They look so nice. Just like stock but brighter. Catz designed them so the beam pattern is the same as a regular halogen H4. So far I haven't been flashed, so that's good. I'll post some more stuff tonight.
I have 3 pic requests if its possible. 1 from the inside, showing how the road looks from the drivers point of view, 2 from right outside the drivers side door, showing the beam pattern on the ground and how far they got, and finally 3, a beam pattern against a wall, thanks man, lookin good btw.

They are OEM Catz HID bulbs from Japan. Color temp is 4300K pure white, and they're about 300% brighter than stock.
Thanks again to the member who sold them to me. Awesome deal for $363 shipped. If they still sold these, retail is $650!

Okay, more pics for you guys. They didn't come out very good because I used normal exposure. Pics don't do them justice. The light output looks just like stock, except brighter.

Nope. They are direct OEM replacements with H4 ballasts. Light patern is just like stock. I remember someone on ebay had done it, but they didn't look all that good. Impulse actually retrofitted some tyc projectors.
Hey guys, I have a 2003 civic ex, stock everything. after fooling around with colored bulbs that burnt out, I have been researching HIDs to no avail. I have no experience or skill with car accessory installations, just trying to figure out how to put HID's in my civic, whatever the cost. Any good hid kits out? Should I get projector headlights? help!!
hey guys, I'm just really confused right now on the whole HID thing!! Help me please! I have a 2003 civic ex, everything is stock. I want HID's in it so badly that I'm willing to pay up to $1000 for the whole job. I just can't find a ligit hid kit (H4 hi/lo beam) and I'm very confused as to whether I need to put a projector into my headlight! Please Help!

Well the kit I found uses the OEM headlight housing. Catz is probably the best out there. When I first got it, there was ALOT of stuff to hide and connect. But with the wiring diagram, it wasn't too bad. You get H4 ballasts so that the bulbs fit in like regular bulbs, ignitors for each bulb, and inverters. One problem you will have is the aftermarket kits like mine are not sold anymore. So you're gonna have a hard time finding one. I got extremely lucky with mine.
Also you can send a PM to Impulse. That guy knows everything and even did a retrofit into his tyc projectors with audi lenses.
