Looking to upgrade headlight bulbs.

I looked in the DIY and they seem to list the stock replacements. Whats a good halogen blue/ white replacement bulb?

Do you have to change both high and lows or can you just change the lows? If yes, are they the same bulb?

I think if you search you would see a lot of people talk about this topic. However mtec is what I have and it is pretty good and has lasted. I have had the showoff bulbs and they have lasted also.

I've got a 2004 EX.

Part numbers are:
4006 for the low-beams
4005 for the high-beams

I got the numbers off the bulbs themselves (OEM bulbs were sylvania halogens and had the size on a sticker on the bulbs back)

I'd go with Sylvania Silverstars, 4100K color temperature = WHITE light. Whatever you do, don't go with a bulb with a dichronic filter on it that makes them look blue/white, they don't put out enough light to be legal or even safe when you're driving on dark nights.

The Silverstars are $20 apice up here in VA, and $12 apice down in TN, so prices vary a bit, I'd give them a try though, they are quite superior to all but HID in my opinion.

NOTE: Most dichronic-coated bulbs are illegal for the reason that they, with their filter, do not put out enough light to be street-legal. Even though you'll likely never get caught on the issue, it does mean that you have less light avaliable and should alter your driving style accordingly.
