glow on the inside of the rims..

is this even possible.. i've been thinking about it for awhile. i'll i'm talking about is one or two LEDs right behind the interior wall of the rim so there is no direct light, and all you see is the glow of the nicely polished interior walls. i think this sounds sweet.. let me know if anyone has tried or what they think.

It would be illegal anyway. And I would be afraid of wires getting caught on the wheels and causing a fire.

what about poping out one of the plastic push things that hold the wheel plastic thing on and work it in from behind there so the wire would never have to actualy go near the wheels

you would have to mount them to the caliper, because it's the only part on the wheel that isn't moving. Either that or the control arm, but that's a little to far down and back to actually make it look good.

I think its only illegal if you're driving with it on, just like neons. If you're parked then its all good.

yeah i though of putting those licenplace led bolts where the clip is for the fender cover. it would actually shine in the right place and there would be no concerns witht he wire. plus its a bolt so it can stay there easily. sounds like a good idea. also you could put them ianywhere into he interior fender cover that i am speaking jsut by drilling a hole. if one isnt bright enough then im sure a few would be. then jsut wire them in series. also you could put a superbright LED on the control arm. that sould get the led to sine into the wheel itself from under the car.

just incase any1 is wondering, streetglow makes something like what this guy is talking bout. check out or search online for "wheelglow"

my friend in Team FUSION (orlando, FL) along with the rest of the crew is sponsored by StreetGlow. they have an accessory called "wheelglow" that is basically a ring of lights that goes SOMEWHERE within a rim or piece of it. it doesnt blink but when the rims moves, it gives the illusion of strobes almost. IMO, i think its badass!!

check it out...
