Is there at least one reliable set of headlight bulbs everyone can agree on?
Hey guys,
Sometime this month would be 1 year since I posted a topic about which is the best headlight bulb to go with. I just received my black TYC projectors and for the past week Ive been searching and reading up on posts about which bulb to go with. Granted there numerous brand name headlight bulbs that people will take over some brand like APC. But good grief!.......it's like every brand listed has like a flaw with someone. I thought about MTEC but I read that their no good in rain. The PIAA?....forget those! They according to many people burn out within a month or two! And these people didn't touch the bulb and they used the stock wattage so it wont burn out. It's like every bulb has burned out, isn't bright enough, ect. I mean whats it going to take for me to find a reliable set of bulbs that won't burn out, will be brighter than stock becaused God knows my black TYC projectors are going to suffer when compared to stock headlights in lighting. I need something that I can rely on. I thought about Raybrig....I hope thats how you spell it.....a guy said after 5 sets they burned out. Hell I would of stopped after the first set. Can anyone answer this or maybe help me out on looking for a reliable bulb that wont burn out....gives out a white light....no blue so we can eliminate why the bulb might go out.......and is brighter than stock yet has near the same wattage? Theres gotta be one brand of bulbs going for like under $30 that will fit my needs.

I bought a pair of iono what brand name bulbs, they're 4100K and cost me 14 dollars for both, some no name brand that gives off a nice white color and still hasn't burned out...it's been 5 months. So in conclusion, all bulbs will burn out, it's just a matter of time. My brother has PIAA on his lexus for the past 4 months and is still going strong so I don't know what ppl's problems with PIAA are...maybe they did touch the bulb and didn't realize?

I've had sylvania cool blue for about two years until one burned. They are whiter than stock and still legal. With any blue coated bulbs, you will get loss of light and worse light output in rain, etc. Stock has the right color that our eyes like at night. It's a trade-off if you want whiter lights without HID.
