Well guys, I'm going to go ahead and start a project here although I'm just starting to study to become a mechanic I'm going to set low goals for the time being, My goal currently is going to be 400HP with boost.
But, I would like your feedback as to what I'm going to be spending
I am going to purchase a 2001 Civic, Still trying to find a fair price for it.
So here is what I am asking for.
2001 Civic Price:
Boost Price:
Other stuff needed (Name and price)

It would be in my eyes, I'm running my 91' acura legend at about 290 without turbo/exhaust mods. From what I've been reading, 7th gen civic is one of the easiest cars to hop up, well.... Right under the 350 list.

the highest HP d17 was around 400 and it was fully built with custom everything. and thats with him spending $15,000+
the only real feasible way youre going to get that kinda number is swaping a K and boosting it.
but hey, if you're going to do it, MOAR POWA TO YOU

James, if you're talking about andyman's boosted D17, it was making 489whp@ 31psi and a stage 3 cam. Torque was something like 380.
@OP, you do realize that your Acura Legend is running a 3.2L V6, right? You can't really compare that to a kinda shitty 1.7L 4 banger.. If 400whp was easy to do, you'd probably have a lot of people still rocking a D17 under the hood making high 200s as far as horsepower goes. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to talk you out of modding a 7thgen, I'm simply making sure you know what you're getting in to.
A realistic "low" goal would be making 250whp from a D17. Just guessing, it would take 12-15psi with at least a stage 2 crower turbo cam plus all the other stuff you need to do to support that much boost. With the stage 2 cam, you need valve springs and retainers and a good EMS (k-pro recommended, will run you a grand plus donor k-series ECU).
That is, unless you k-swap then turbo it, but the swap alone will put you back $4000-7000, depending on how cheap you find the parts, much less the engine.
