Alignment issue
Alignment issue
took my car to get an alignment and my mechanic has my tie bar nut brought in all the way no more threads are showing and im still toed in a little 1.3 degrees he said i need an adjustable ball joint does this all make sense? i dont know much about ball joints and front suspension a little but not enough
Re: Alignment issue
i know a ball joint can affect camber but i dont see how it affects toe, my tie rod end boots are fine so i dont think its the tie rod if it isnt the ball joint then the control arm is bent he said and there is evidence of a passenger side accident up front so its a possibility. but i just wanna make sure an adjustable ball joint to fix camber is the way to go and where to get one because i cant find one. he fixed driver side camber with stock ball joint if that changes anything
Re: Alignment issue
But my boots look fine so I don't see why it would be a tie rod end there is a suspicion that my control arm is bent but he "can't figure that out until he fixes the camber" I just don't get why he says he needs to fix camber to fix toe I can understand if my ball joint is bad but that shouldn't affect my toe especially of my tie bar adjustment nut is cranked all the way in
