Long-time lurker, first time posting - thanks for your grace! I have a 2002 Honda Civic LX with a D17A1 engine and 250k on the thing. I did a head gasket job back in 2022 at 220k, and I'm afraid that this is coming back to haunt me and causing me grief with an oil leak, but figured I'd post to re-affirm my hypothesis. I'll sheepishly admit that I had a "minor" oil leak that I've been living with for the past few years, but it never accumulated on the ground. I just did an oil change and looked over to the timing belt side from the bottom and found that the lower timing cover was shredded to bits and I can actually see the timing belt. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated from you gurus out there! Thank you in advanced! Pictures enclosed.

Thank you for reviewing and providing your suggestions! I can always take some more pics as well, but I figured I'd get the conversation started.
