I have a honda civic 2007 which has around 260K kilometre. It takes time to accelerate. Also when driving in steep hilly area, it cant accelerate and cant maintain its speed. Say I am driving at 80 kilometer speed and a steep hilly road comes my speed drops to 40 kilometre and I have to press gas pedal hard to make it 60 kilometre again. So, I did a bit research and a lots of article and chatgpt saying to check air filter (my air filter is clean, and very very lightly black coloured by dirt), I did not check spark plug, those articles says about catalytic converter. There is white smoke coming out from the back of the car and sometime when press gas pedal to accelerate, I smell octane fuel.
What might be the issue? Can I just use catalytic converter cleaner that is mixed with fuel and to see if it works?
ALso OOBD2 scanner can detect what might be ghee issue? what code it should show?
Hi. Loosing engine oil. not sure. Mechanic never also told about it.
ANd I had a OBD2 tool called blue driver. I scanned and have some screenshot. if it helps. not sure if it says something like, my airbag sensor not working or something like that.
