you didnt answer my question about how much cheaper it would be without your exhaust manifold, beause i can get a custom log one made where i can still keep my ac for 150

score00 03-30-2003 07:06 PM

sorry, as i know this has probably been answered in one of the other threads... could i have a listing of what the kit includes [intercooler?].
you also mentioned the v-tec, where the lx has a v-tec-e (i bought this expressily for future turbo's - lower initial compression). i'm hopint to run between 8 and 10 lbs boost for the street... and spooling at about 3000 would be nearly perfect for my application.

The LX does not have VTEC-E. I think you are thinking of the HX. The LX has no VTEC whatsoever. You are right about the lower compression though.

Ike 03-31-2003 08:23 AM

Will the kit let you keep your AC.

SFpower 03-31-2003 11:37 AM

the biggest misconception on turbo manifolds is the purpose it serves. this manifold i have made to fit in the 7 gen civic w/out modifing everthing around it it keeps the a/c stock fans stock mid pipe stock rad hoses and is farly easy to put in.it is not an equal length but it is a 4into1 style.i have found this to be the more inportant quaity over the equal length and here is why.w/ a log style manifold all the exh. go into one chamber then into the turbo.this causes a pressure spike and heat biuldup to take pace in the manifold .this extra pressue in the manifold cause heat disapation before the exhust gets to the turbo.(be not mis informed turbos do not run on exhust blowing throw the turbine ,but on the heat and pressure)w/ a 4into1 style the exh. gases don't meet untill they are inthe inlet of the ehx. turbine this causing the heat and presure to build at the turbine causing faster spoolup time and mor efficent power.in a perfic world an equal length manifold is best because it adds better scavenging of the cyclinders .unfortunetly honda didn't consult me onthis before to the design of the engine compartment so well have to make do!!

ohmysac 03-31-2003 12:40 PM

ok ok lemme get this straight...the manifold pictured bolts right up to the stock EX downpipe/cat correct?

XTREME2K2CIVIC 03-31-2003 02:16 PM

I am very interested in this... I want to know also how long we have until the group buy is taking money.. I would love turbo but I just cant pop 3000 dollars out of my a$$.... Email me with info or a timeframe and dyno numbers... sijoker789@msn.com

RedDragon333 03-31-2003 03:10 PM

i might be interested once i see some more concrete numbers and info. Email me jade_dragon33@hotmail.com

Nitek 03-31-2003 09:16 PM

Ok, so with this setup I do not have to modify any accessories like the a/c in any way right?
Also, what about the fuel management. What kind of management will be included in the kit?

RiceBuRNeR 04-01-2003 11:00 AM

I want in (damn here gos another loan)

turbocivicex@hotmail.com

JoNnNnY 04-01-2003 01:35 PM

let me see if i have this right, kit contains alot like turbo and fuel management, so basically all you really need is the this kit and exhuast and maybe a new clutch?

CivicRookie 04-01-2003 02:29 PM

email me the dyno and details:
mailto:MD2311@aol.com

Catalyst 04-01-2003 02:57 PM

You may not even need an exhaust. It is bolting straight up to a stock LX exhaust.

THEANTIRICEST 04-01-2003 11:38 PM

DYNO?

Wanger 04-02-2003 12:36 AM

how much for just the custom manifold and downpipe to EX exhaust?

Cyclosporine 04-02-2003 12:23 PM

deja vu...where's the dyno? althought, still interesting...

e-mail me details
cyclosporine@hotmail.com

JoNnNnY 04-02-2003 12:24 PM

is the manafold stainless or mild steel

SFpower 04-02-2003 12:34 PM

alrigt !already let me answer some of these ???
it should fit an auto. souldn't need ajustments for tune mabey a colder plug after dyno i'll specify it bolt up to stck lx exh. untill someone else drives to my shop and i put the kit on an ex then i'll make it for the ex. it doe clear the a/c the intercooler ie 7x24x2 3/4 .installation will require very little modes to the car. I expect around 190 to the ground at 7 psi on the lx the turbo system will suport close to three hunderd to the ground. but its your car!!! I should be at the dyno mabey friday or saterday please be patient I want it to be bitchen before i release it to all. we dont want another turbo performance insident .

azure 04-02-2003 12:59 PM

Coo! I'm still in...

cmarquez_57@hotmail.com

(Just in case you didn't see my previous post... hehe!)

Wanger 04-02-2003 01:19 PM
