power steering fluid leaking !
i just realized that my power steering fluid is leaking !.. i'm not sure if it's because of the aftermarket accessory pulleys or if there's a leak in the tubing .. but does anyone know what happens when i run out of fluid ?.. do i damage anything ?.

I think it will damage the pump because the fluid is like...lubrication.
or someone educate me too, is the fluid only used to create pressure?

When you run out of fluid it'll be harder to steer and you might burn up your pump. I doubt the after-market pullies caused the leak unless a hose was damaged when installing them. I would get it fixed ASAP. If the hose breaks while your driving, you could end up with a pretty big mess inside the engine compartment and potentially cause an accident if your not ready when you lose power steering. BTW, some peeps completely remove power steering to gain some power back and/or get a better feel for the road...
