Outline after shaving?!?

I just got finished shaving my car emblems and everything went smooth, however you can see a distinct outline of "CIVIC" in the paint from were the "CIVIC" emblem was removed from the trunk. Anyone else have this problem, if so does it buff out or what?

use some wax or even adhesive remover. It should take it right out

There is no adhesive left on the car, I removed it all. This is a outline in the paint almost like tan lines on skin.

If the car is more than 2 months old and has been in the sun for a long time, you have a paint fade problem. If your car is red in color you might not be able to get it out. Red for some reason fades faster than other colors.

one of my friends has a nbp civic.. you can see the outlines from everything. even when he bought the car.. it had the outlines from the white cover that was on the hood / trunk when it was first delivered to the dealership. if you see those lines too, you better go to the dealership under warranty!

Yeah, I had those from that white film too at first. I belive the paint is covered for life. I might have them check it out. Its funny that is only left the outline on the civic emblem, the trim emblem on the bummer left no outline at all. Thanks
