that dance/rave scene man...
i hated it... they could have spent the expensive film on something else...
but i guess they needed to show that altho' a war was coming, the people of Zion weren't scared and they were pepped...

I thought the movie was great! I hear a lot of bad reviews and a lot of people not liking it. I think there's a number of reasons contributing for this. 1) People had high expectations before seeing the movie 2) There was no clear ending (Duh its a Trilogy) 3) The storyline was confusing, requires afterthought
Glad I saw a post about this because I really wanted to discuss some parts of the movie. I really liked how they stretched the storyline. The part with the architect requires paying attention and some afterthought. Here's my understanding of the storyline, would like your feedback/interpretations
***SPOILER***
-The matrix is in its 6th Revision. "The one" has the choice of rebuilding Zion and choosing 13(?) males/females to rebuild it. His other option was to save Trinity and everyone plugged into the matrix will be dead. Neo needs to enter the mainframe to re-balance the equation or something like that
-The maker of Matrix sees something different in Neo from the previous chosen ones. He possesses love
-Time and time again, the machines let Zion rebuild. I was wondering why they would do that. Than it made sense to me. The matrix is not perfect, it is only accepted by 99% of Humans. The remaining 1% is the people in Zion, the minds that Neo has freed. Zion allows order in the world, to prevent chaos. Once the Machines realize Zion is strong, they will destroy it, and start over with a new version of the matrix. Therefore, Zion exists so that the people who reject the program has a place to stay, and a place for them to destroy once they become strong
-I was really confused with the whole talk about anomalies and glitches, so is Neo a glitch in the program?
-I really liked how they tried to explain UFOs/Aliens/Ghosts. Apparently they are programs hacking another program. When a program becomes obselete and a new revision has been made, they are deleted in the mainframe. These programs try to stay in the world (matrix) even though they are deleted in the real world. This explains Agent Smith. Apparently something happened when Neo killed him in the first one. He clings to the Matrix, his purpose is to kill Neo. He was suppose to return to the mainframe, but he decided not to
Predictions: I been really thinking about why Neo can kill the machines and use his power in the "real" world. My guess is that the "real" world is actually another version of the Matrix. This would explain why he can kill the machines. It is a backup program to ensure total dominance over the human race. So even if they destroy the machines, they'll still be in the matrix. A never ending battle. This will also leave room for another Sequel in the series.
