Exhaust noise q
Hey i'm not sure if this is a problem or not but me and my friend just installed my thermal R&D exhaust (full cat-back). From the outside it's really nice and deep and etc. but on the inside it's freakin loud. I do have an aftermarket downpipe from ebay so i'm guessing that could be the noise factor or does the 2k1+ Civics have very bad noise insealment problems? And also do you guys think it will sound different if i get a HP header with high flow cat instead of having DC Header + ebay racing downpipe?

It's possible that you may have a connection that isn't sealed. I would crawl up under the car and listen to all the connections between the pipes. I don't think this is the reason for the loudness because it would be pretty obvious.
I think you got an exhaust system and now know what it is like to ride inside a car with one installed. That's the way it is pretty much.

well for sure i need a gasket for the rear section part of the exhaust but the noise seems to be mostly generated from the bottom of my seat.
And Britney the DC TCS replaces the cat too? i thought it was just the b-pipe and rear section.
