Thanks for your input guys. Yes, blkcivic, I thought so much red could be hazardous to my mental state, so I switched the vent LED's and interior neons.
As for how to do it. I've been sworn to secrecy...not hard really, just bone up on electronics...
The vent pix I have here aren't very good. In person, the light is actually diffused and reflected a bit more in the vents, and the overall effect is an eerie kind of glow, and the light sources are a little harder to pinpoint.

I wish i wasn't so lazy sometimes...all this light changing stuff is so damn easy to do. Just take the center console out removed the ***** and replace the blue filter with a red one.

Actually, if you replace with a red filter it will still be pretty dim. I took out my filters. Except for the temp control one....I'm still trying to find just a numbered bezel, as taking out the gel would just look stupid...red fading into red.
