how muxh $$$ for a 250 hp civic turboed?
just wondering how many mods it would take to boost enough for a good 250 hp??? i'm assuming a lot of internal work would have to be done. anyone who has done this give me a price please. sorry if this is a noob question i'm tired of searching...

i'd say using an estimate 4000, a for a really good custom turbo. dont get a turbo kit from anybody. Build one .......... and about another 1000 for other stuff. that would put you around 250? but the ? for you is in the end is it worth it ?

i dont think the loss of power during the transfer is that big, however i could be wrong....75 hp loss from the transfer....that cant be right....that would mean my ex stock is only pushing around 50 to the wheels.....ive heard lawnmowers more powerful.....maybe a 20-30 hp loss is more like it.....but then again, i could be wrong.....i just hope im not
you have to think about the transmission too, youll have to get all your **** cryo treated and also your going to need a new clutch, pressure plate, flywheel and all that stuff. and aslo you wont lose as much power through the trans if you upgrade all that cause the clutch will transfer more power and the flywheel will help too. and 250 hp at the crank is more than 175 at the wheels, its more like about 200-210.

what i heard was to factor 30% drivetrain loss, not 15%. i guess it depends more on the dyno than anything. and i've seen a stock impreza 2.5RS (165hp) dyno at about 95 on a 4 wheel dyno.
