Jackson Racing SC for 1.7 CIVIC!!

Has anyone heard if Jackson Racing to develop or release a supercharger kit for the 1.7 CIVIC.

I have a deposit on one already, so I can be the first guy on the block to have it

The garage owner where I did all my upgrades told me that it will be on the market by June!?

as far as i know, a lot of people on this site have emailed and called JC and they firmly stated every time that they were NOT going to release a supercharger for the D17 because of the lack of sales they would receive.

When Stafford used to have his dyno, we tested 2 Civic Si's. One had a jackson racing supercharger, and the other had his turbo kit. The jackson Racing Supercharger made 40 whp LESS on 3 psi MORE boost.

Jackson Racing Sucks!

I emails JR earlier today when I read this thread. Heres what they had to say:

Unfortunately, we will not be making any products for the new 1.7 Civic engine. Sorry I could not be of further assistance.

Yeah.....personally I think the only way to go with our cars is a custom turbo set up. Of course you need to be carefull on what kind of boost, injectors, turbo, etc, you are going to run. But the best solution is a K20 swap with a turbo. I wish there was someway to build our engines such as pistons, rods, gaskets..

I personally would rather have a supercharger with a little less power, but the constant increase in power and torqure throughout the power band. I'm not planning on racing ever. I would just like to have daily driver with a little umph behind it, from start to stop with no spool up time. But alas no one has made one yet or seems to be making one. It doensn't seem like its very likely to happen either if JR is not even planning on one. Who knows, maybe we'll get lucky a couple of years down the road.

Catalyst, comparing the PSI settings of a Supercharger to a Turbo's PSI's setting is like comparing apples to oranges....both fruits, but totally different...
