aem cai hissing???

aem cai hissing???

mine hisses when you press the gas very lightly and when you cut the car off it hisses and fades. does anyone elses do this? ive adjusted all the clamps and made sure its mounted correctly.

Umm..yea, did you just get an intake or something?

They hiss and make that funny noise when you shut the engine off.

i have an oem air box and it hisses too when i shut off the engine..heh

Sorry to be an @$$, but you should be riding a bicycle if you don't know that the hissing sound is normal for a CAI.

thats normal, all intakes do that.

Ok sorry i had just woken up when i wrote that...lol sorry i just looked at it wow it was bad.....so any way.....hissing is normal with short ram intakes and cold air (cai) what i was saying was that i had an aem cold air on my car (03 civic ex) And it sucked....they make the fillter end up infront of the radiator which forces all the hot air into it so i sold mine (as did my friends with 7thgen civics) and i got a aem short ram intake. But i also live in florida so that could make a differance but i dont know. So any way the hissing should happen with any after mrkt. intake. It did on mine and all my friends. I think its cool. so hope this helps!!!
