oh ya........i was under the impression that it was twice as good. of course aem said that its a "mild super charging effect" and the graphs show a 18hp gain on a 2000dx. don't know what to do......v2......cai.......sri.....?
18HP gain? bullshit AEM
try put one of those on the car and dyno it and see if u get actual 18HP gain
for our car, it is hard to get crazy HP gain unless u do SC or Turbo.
simple bolt-on mod give u anything from 1-5HP for each pieces.

The only intake that gives an actual gain that you can feel is the Injen RD intake. I first had the AEM cold air and i didn't like it. The filter is still around the engine, where there is hot air. The Injen cold air dissapears right into the bumper, where it's colder. If the AEM V2 is in the same place as the original AEM cold air, then don't bother with it. Get the injen. Better gains, a lot louder when you punch it. And if you get an aftermarket bumper (Xenon) with holes in the front, you'll draw in a lot of cold air for the filter.
