Clear Corners & Bulbs
I want to clear my corners this weekend, but I still don't know what the solution is to the bulb problem.
I don't think keeping the bulbs white is legal, and I heard that it looks stupid if you get amber bulbs.
I remember reading somewhere that they have amber bulbs with a mirror coating so they don't look akward in the newly cleared housing... however I can't seem to find these bulbs anywhere, or find the post I remember seeing about them.
Can someone let me know what they did once they cleared their headlights... what kind of bulbs are you running in there now? What is the bulb number that I should get? Any links where I can get something? Thanks anyone who helps me out.

I remember reading a thread on here about changing the bulbs to 7440(?) instead of what the are stock. cause if you do that then they only come on when you signal. I think they said you just have to bust out a small piece of plastic. i'm thinking about doing this my self.

Ok, well I will spell this out AGAIN. Do a search. Look at your local laws. All states say that an amber turn is legal, and some states allow a white turn signal. It is ILLEGAL NOT to have an orange reflector in the front and that is what you are taking out. A 7440 is single filament and will only have one setting. You need a 7443 dual filament bulb if you are changing to orange. The only place to get them is only. Search the site, someone has posted it before.

Thanks R1, that was the post I was looking for, I don't know why I couldn't find it.
Hate on me if you must, but I'm still retarded about this...
What the difference between 7440 and 7443? Where do 194 come into play in this whole thing?
I totally want the titan bulbs, so everything looks chrome and clear in my headlights, yet still functions with the same colors as it did stock...
Anyone have a link to somewhere that sells them? That other post didn't quite clear that up and I don't know if anyone has anything better by now.
Thanks everyone.

7440 - single filament, 7443 dual filament. You need dual so that it flashes two different strengths of light so people know it is signalling. 194's are the little parking lights, license plate lights, some of your interior lights, etc. Light bulb chart
If you look at the light bulb chart you will see that the front turns are 7443 and the rears are 7440 that is because the turn signals in the rear don't light up when you turn your lights on. they only need to flash, not provide driving light and flash.

when I mentioned the 7440 bulb i ment that it only lights up when it blinks, since you dont need it on all the time (not in all states) so you dont have to have any ugly orange
Polar G makes the same kinda bulbs but instead of a titanium color, they are polarized just like sun glass lenses. They have the same effect as the APcs but have that dark polarized look. When turned on, they are a very bright orange. Only problem, they are $14.00 each.

I have APC H4's and Eurolite hyper white 7443's. It has a blue reflection in the daytime but as long as the cops see that it flashes white they can't really say anything. My 194's are actual blue bulbs made by APC but since they don't flash, the cops really don't have a reason to stop me about them.
