The Oil Pan
Has anyone dropped their oil pan? How difficult is it to do and what do I stand the chance to mess up? The fact that I'm opening up the bottom of the engine worries me a bit. But I need to do it to get my oil temp sensor in. So a little help here.....
If someones done it, do you have a DIY? Do i need a new gasket or is it re-usable?
If I have to just take it to a shop, how much might it cost (how many hours)?

DRAIN THE OIL
1. remove downpipe off of manifold
2. remove bolts surrounding the oil pan that connect it to the block
3. pull oil pan down...be prepared to get oily. theres always some in there even after you drain it.
4. there ya go.
5. replace gasket w/ a new one.
6. lift oil pan to block and align it
7. begin putting the bolts back in (figure out the torque yourself...probably around 10-15lb-ft)
8. reinstall downpipe

Yes just like 4drcivic2k1 said. It is very eassy, but if it is your first time it will take some time.
I just want to add that when your bolting your oil-pan back on, start from the out side and work your self towards the middle. Also try to for and X patter when bolting.
