Injen CAI install advice
I am installing an Injen CAI on my 2k1 EX sedan tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone had any advice or insight to offer. This will be the first mod to my car, and I haven't ever modded any of my previous cars, so any advice will be helpful. I did search and found some tips, plus the instructions included seem easy enough to follow, but I would like to hear from the members out there.
Thank you in advance.

I have a verrrrryyyyy good idea for you.
If you live in a colder climate then you will appreciate doing this the first time.
When you have your bumper off and are relacing that 10mm screw/bolt that holds the grounding harness to your chassis, you are going to attach this black rubber bumper thing. BUY yourself either galvanized or Stainless Steel washers that match the OD and ID of this bumper, 2 of them total.
Take that grounding harness and flip it over so that the little bent tab faces outward isntead of inward.then place teh harness against the chassis, followed by a washer and then that rubnber bumper. TORQUE the bumper down as much as you possibly can and then torque it down some more. then place a second washer on teh other side of the rubber bumper followed by teh lower CAI extension and the supplied washer and nut then torque them down as much as possible after fitting the intake into position.
Also, if you plan on adding sidemarkers later on, this is the perfect time to splice into teh headlight wiring and run your extension leads up into the engine bay and leave taped out of the way for now so you wont have to remove your bumper again later on. Definitely make sure that you have at least 3 feet of wire per side if you are putting them behind the wheel well under your rear view mirrors.
Hope it helps.

I would defenitely advise you to take off your front bumper. First, you will have an easier time getting the CAI in place. Secondly if you ever do more mods in the engine area/ lighting you will have a better understanding of the engine bay making the next time much easier.

I finished the install and I couldn't be happier with it. It took me a while, but no problems. I just took it for a test drive and I can feel an improvement in acceleration, plus it sounds nice when I hit the gas. Thank you again to all who posted advice... except for Snakes. What happened there?
