couple questions

1) Where is a good online site to buy the RSX sway bar (other then hondawerx
2) If the the RSX sway bar fits without any mods needed, would that mean that most sway bars for the rsx would fit.
3) Say I decided not to cut up my front struts when lowering, what parts would I have to buy (getting new springs, and new struts) Or is that idea hopeless (yes I know it would cost more)
4) no more questions, yes I've searched a little, read around even more kinda clueless about most of this though.

1) if your lucky you might be able to find a set of used ones from clubrsx.com for $50 a few of the socal members got them from there.. i think they're just as good as new ones
2)ya probably, but then there's always those few exceptions which we wont know till someone tries.
3) you dont have to cut up the front struts in order to lower the car. this is only needed when your getting konis. if your getting sleeved coilovers like ground control or skunk2s, its recommended you get the lower perch but you dont HAVE to. it might be a lil difficult to go very low cause it gets in the way tho. with lowering springs, you wont have to cut anything.
4) any other questions feel free to ask

1) I believe you can get a used RSX sway bar from clubrsx.com. I am also sure you can get one at an online honda dealer if you want to get raped! It is an OEM part so most aftermarket online stores won't have it.
2) The sway bars for the RSX, Civic, and Civic Si should mostly all be interchangable. Things to watch out for are if integrated tie bars will fit and if the bars look similar.
3) You don't need to cut your struts if you are just adding springs. the only time you have to cut your strut is if you install the konis. If you get a full coilover replacement or just springs there is no need to cut your strut.

Damn u vnlilman!! beat me to it!! Anyway we both answered your questions the same way.

that was quick, so if I get ground controll, and the lower perch then thats all I need, but is that still rolling on my stock struts? I'm only looking for 1.5" drop so going too low I guess wouldn't be a problem

a 1.5" drop is good. It is suggested you get a camber kit for the rear. Your stock shocks will most likely blow within 6months depending on the driving conditions and the roads you drive. But maybe more or maybe less. If you lower prepare to buy new shocks probably within a year.

ok, switching gears a little, I was looking at the tein SS coilovers, other then the fact the SS is for Super Street I like them (to bad I can't buy them in blue. So if I go for a true coilover the install would be a hole lot quicker or sould I say easier for the DIY er?

not really its still about the same cause tein ss and b&gs dont come with the upper mount. so ya you dont have to cut anything but your going to have to take the stock suspension apart in order to use the top peices on the teins...

if your looking for very simple installation, your going to have to spend 1600. tein flex comes with the top mount so its just a straight swap...

if you get groundcontrol, you wont have to cut anything, just swap out the springs for the groundcontrols and your done(easier said then done obviously). you should be able to lower the car 1.5" without cutting the lower perch.

hey, thanks for all the help, I did get the tein flex, a little pricey, but I think it should be worth it. (a little lazy, and not confendent enough in my skills, pluse no spring depressor)

As for the sway bar, I guess that went on hold.

Hey rob, you ought to cruse down to the country and help me with the install, grab a couple other of the mid atlantic crew and have a mini meet or somthing.

Thanks you too.

i don't beleive you need a spring compressor for true coilovers, they are already compressed. I haven't been doing anything outside, it is cold. Slikor would know more about putting in springs/coilovers, he put his teins in himself. I haven't actually put them in yet, but willing to learn. I am waiting for better shocks to come out.

why not just get a shop to do it?
and alot of people here say our springs are so soft you wont even need a spring compresser to install lowering springs.. and if your installing groundcontrols, you probably wont even have to compress those to get them on.. when i was attempting to install the springs myself i'm sure i could have had someone put pressure on the strut assembly to get the springs out, they did seem pretty soft..
