Rear Shocks Only

Is it pretty safe to replace the rear OEM shocks with Konis, and not the fronts?

Do you have stock springs? Either way just replacing the rears is safe. I bought 4 konis and ran just the rears for about a month until I put in the fronts. I could feel the difference in front to rear dampning but it was not that bad. Its ok as long as your fronts are not blown
