is there a person in the passenger seat beacuse when ever my girlfriend is in the car she leans agains the door and seat and that turns my srs light on but as soon as she moves it goes out so i asked honda and they said when the light is on it means that the side airbags are off hope this helps.
By resetting the SRS light, does it just turn the light off or does it reset the sensor back to the way it originally was? I disconnected the passenger side plug when I took out the seat to install the brain to my receiver and now the light is on. I was going to just take it back to the dearlership when I got my oil changed in a couple of weeks because I don't want to do anything that would prevent the safety devices to work in case of an accident. If it puts it back to the original condition, I'll just do it myself.
when i installed my sparco seats my ABS and SRS light came on and are still on...if i reset the SRS light will the ABS light go out to or is that something else i have to do??

so correct me if im wrong. my SRS light is also on.
after reading the DIY its my understanding that i do not need a Service connector. just a paperclip so i can bridge the two connections? and all i really have to do is bridge them and unbridge them in a certain sequence as detailed by the DIY?
someone please make it clear for me.. before i blow my cars wiring.. lol

I think all you have to do is. 1. shut off the car all the way. 2. push the button for the trip od. 3. while holding the button down, turn the car on. 3. keep holding the button until the light goes off. 4. turn the car off. 5. take finger off the button 6. reset light.

Just wanted to keep this thread going since I'm still not clear. The DIY says it will only work if what caused the light to turn on in the first place has been fixed. What myself and a few others are saying is that we have aftermarket seats and/or steering wheels and the airbags will not be hooked back up. How do you get the light to turn off in this case? Thanks

Take your cars to honda. Or... if you don't like the lights, put your OEM parts back in the car.
DO NOT MESS WITH THE WIRING!!!!!!!!!!!
Just go to the dealership and actually ask them what they can do for you.
Geez.

When I had my Leather Interior installed in my car my SRS light stayed on,So the guy who installed my interior went with me to Honda to reset the SRS light with the PGM machine. But it wasn't resetting,so after they ran a diagnostic on it, it showed that my drivers side side airbag was defective. So I had to wait 2 weeks until they received the air bag from Japan. The guy who installed my leather probably damaged the air bag, but it was fixed for free, so I didn't care. Anyway hope my story helps in any way, you probably just have to reset it, resetting it would bring it back to normal, meaning your air bags will deploy in an accident and the SRS light should go out. With the SRS light on the air bags will not deploy.
