yeah, thats most likely not the first time that has happened though. honda makes a real crappy transmission, at least for the civic. the syncros "burn out" real easily. not much room for error. thats how i lost my first transmission, due to a a mis-shift here and there. unless you have under 36k, dont bother to bring it. they want a $500 tear down fee, then they will keep you waiting for a week til a honda tech is sent to further investigate the tranny, only to see your damage and declare that you raced it. they charge another 500 to throw it back together broken. your best bet it to try www.car-part.com. trannys list between $350-900 used. im sure you can find some1 to throw it in for cheap. save your spent tranny, and have it built up at a tranny shop in the future so when it happens again, you are good to go.

I have been driving hondas for almost 10 yrs and and 8 1/2 of them have been on manuals. Honda does not make crappy transmissions. If you don't know how to drive a stick you will tear up any manufacturer's tranny. I have never had a problem nor known anyone to have a problem that doesn't abuse their tranny.
Honda trannies are known for being a bit harsh at times and for being noisy (autos).
6th gen si trans is known for 3rd gear synchros going bad.
That's it as far as honda's trannies are concerned.

I dunno man...I mean you've been pretty harsh on your tranny as it is, with spraying and all...I haven't heard Hondas go through trannies the way you did...mbow's list of things going wrong is right on the money...I've misshifted a couple times, but I haven't heard a tranny drop after 'a couple.' It'll take a little more beating to mess that up I think...
its the worse case ever! its my tranny, i have to get it rebuilt or replaced, since the shifter is still coo. good thing i go to SEQUOA INSTITUTE. i jus have to pay for parts, like rebuild kit, and i get free labor, but still thats like at least $600 out of nuthin i dont have. well im not making my friend pay anything, thats wrong wut he did, but thats more messed up if i made him pay for his mistake, anyway, my car is again out of commission.
i only had my car for only 3 months after waiting 7 months in the body shops
this sux dude.
p.s.
my friend frum D.N.R. offered to drop me a rsx type r for round 8 gs(6 for the motor and 2 for installation and dyno tunning), but i declined, maybe soon ill get it, payce
