homemade turbo w/MSD ignition questions???
back in october I finished designing/building/installing my own cobbled together turbo setup for my 98 ex 2-door from an eclipse turbo, a saab intercooler, some eBay sourced parts (like the manifold), and a bunch of home depot tubing and knuckle blood

The car really runs good from what I can tell and all but it has been running a little too lean for my sake....(runs at the very left of the "stoich" on my autometer pro-comp ultralite air/fuel gauge when under a full load...pedal to the floor...and I don't like this....
I got an aftermarket fuel pressure gauge and I just now got the rest of my msd ignition stuff from summit racing (bought a used sci unit and blaster ss coil from eBay the other week)...needless to say I think I've got enough coil wires to make an extra plug wire set haha
here's my questions:
1. I've heard and believe the rumors that there really isn't too much of a difference in spark plugs but I was going to go with bosch platinums anyway since I'm changing the whole ignition and the car's got 80k on it as is...what should I set the gap on the plugs at with the MSD ignition?? do parts stores sell the "colder" wires and if so what should I ask for??
2. anybody on here got an idea of a good place to mount the MSD unit and the blaster SS coil?? I hacked up my CP cold-air intake so that I at least had the bling bling inside the engine bay still and that way it looked a little more like stock too...as I also kept my heat shield from my original manifold and welded a stud to the turbo housing (I lightly tacked it) so I could try to "hide' the turbo too
3. how the hell do I tune this fuel pressure regulator?? It didn't come with instructions...though it's got a gauge on it (a cheap *** looking one...stupid budget and eBay...)
any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated?? also what should I look for as in performance wise and will this help my leaning out problem before I melt a piston or something??

1- There is a difference on spark plugs. But not a huge one. Just get a quality plug, make sure it's gapped correctly (most important part) and you'll be fine. You don't need "colder" wires, only colder plugs, usually 2 degrees colder. Any AutoZone or O'Reilly's will be able to point you in the right direction.
2- Anywhere you can find it... I've seem people mount them just above the transmission using a custom metal bracket, or on the firewall toward the passenger side. Just wherever you like and can get it secured.
3- No idea, post a pic and brand name of the FPR and I'll try to help.
And before you worry about leaning out too much, go to a dyno and use their wideband o2 sniffer, Autometer gauges use the stock o2 sensor and are not very accurate, only useful for a rough guess. After you get this all installed, if you go to a local performance shop with a dyno, they'll give you a couple of pulls and tune the ignition and FPR for you, and you'll be good to go.

what would be a good starting point for the gap for the plugs??
are bosch platinums good??
how much does a dyno run cost roughly hehe??
thanks for the quick help...

I'm using .30" on my 01 Civic, it does vary from car to car though... AutoZone or O'Reilly's should be able to tell you. Otherwise do a search in Honda-Tech.com's Forced Induction forum for plug gap, you'll find what you need.
Bosch Platinums and Denso Iridiums are pretty much the same, and Bosch costs a lot less. Just have to gap them, as the Denso's come pre-gapped.
Dyno runs vary a lot from shop to shop, but expect to spend around $100 for them to make 3-4 runs with the wideband o2 sniffer and tune your ignition and fuel.
