Easiest way to remove rear H?
I'm gonna remove my rear H emblem and replace it with the beetle "turbo" badge. What's the easiest way to remove it because I know there's those two prongs that hold it in too. Do I just heat it like the others then pry it off? I don't feel like putting a scratch on my trunk.
Real easy.
1) place thick tape i.e. black tape along the bottom edge and top edge of the H
2) With a thin small blade screwdriver or better yet a plactic razor blade pry up on the bottom edge and top edge
3) Get finger under bottom and or top edge of H and very easy pull off.
Note: there is automotive adheisvie tape on the top edge of the H only.
There are two holes in the trunk lid that the white clips fit in and the H pushes in to these. If you try to push out from the inside of the trunk you will bend the trunk lid. (very bad) the white clips will not come out with the H. Good luck and happy moding.
