Confused about what camber kit to get ...
I'm confused as to what camber kit to get for my ride.
I've got an EX coupe and I've heard conflicting stories between the SPC and Ingalls kits. I've heard that with one of the kits, you have to break off the ABS bracket and mount it to the new kit. Some have told me it's the SPC, other the Ingalls. I want to get the one that you *don't* need to break off the ABS bracket with. I really need to get a kit soon as I can see some wear starting on the rear tires.

hey taz, whats up man
i bought Inca's Ingalls rear camber kit, and it fits fine and you dont have to cut anything. i couldnt get the nut it comes with to fit on the bracket that is used to attach the ABS line (you'll see what i mean when you use it, there isnt enough clearance on the inside of the bracket because of the outer adjustment nut), but i used 2 small zip-ties and that worked fine to hold the ABS line bracket on.
my Ingalls rear camber kit seems as beefy as it could get, and i've seen pics of the SPC and it look more weak to me.....im so confused

I didn't have to mess with the ABS bracket since I have an LX with no ABS, but I had both the Ingalls and the SPC camber kits. I would reccomend the SPC camber kits all the way. The SPC is much more beefy and you feel confident that it will not break during the toughest of bumps. The Ingalls on the other hand...
If you don't want to cut off the bracket, then you can simply make your own out of a bit of aluminum. No problem. I'll be getting ABS eventually and that's what I plan to do.

Well damn. One person is telling me that the Ingalls is the way to go because it looks beefy and then someone else comes along and tells me the same about the SPC. I'm so !
I'm thinking that the Ingalls is probably going to be the way to go. This is going to be easier on me as I don't have the equipment to fabricate my own mounts. I'll probably end up getting the SPCs for the front and the Ingalls for the rear. This seems to be the most optimum setup for an EX because of ABS. But I'm not too sure. I'm tellin' you dude, the Ingalls rear sucks! It's not just opinion, it's fact. I had both camber kits and I am now reccomending SPC to everyone and their mother. The only thing is the ABS sensor bracket. Fabricating involves nothing more than cutting a flat piece of aluminum and drilling a couple of holes. No bending, no nothing. At least I think so...

I have Ingalls..... I don't really have any problem with them. Ever since I've gotten them on I've sorta forgotten that they're there b/c its a good product that does its job I guess... I've heard good from either one. I watched the guy install my rear ones that I have and it seemed like cake. Be sure you get the rubber kits since you're a daily driver right? Yeah...

Grey, what exactly is it about the Ingalls rear that you say is so crappy? i've seen the SPC rear and it looks crappy to me, unless i'm actually seeing something diff, i dunno.
well, just to make sure i've got this right, here is a pic of the stock rear upper arm side-by-side with the Ingalls rear camber kit i installed:

Weird. Yours looks different than mine. Here's the Ingalls that I had:

Here's a larger pic of the whole kit: Click Me! (1.78MB's)
Here's the SPC installed. Sorry, don't have a side-by-side comparison of the two.

The SPC is much more stout and there is no looseness when the end nuts are not tightened. The Ingalls has to be tightened to get rid od the looseness. I've worked with both and I can honestly say that the SPC is of much better quality. Maybe the Ingalls that you have is some sort of updated kit? It looks thicker (although not as thick as the SPC) and the ABS mounting bracket is no longer on the rotating middle part (maybe updated since people were complaining about this?).

hmm...interesting. i agree, it looks like Ingalls got smart and updated their camber kit cause mine is def way way better than the [old] one you have a pic of. here is a pic of my Ingalls rear camber kit installed:

the Ingalls kit i have was definately not flimsy, very firm and solid feeling and once tightened seems to be about as strong as it could be made. plus, the stock ABS bracket fits just perfectly without any modification.

K3wl. If you say the updated Ingalls kit is of good quality, then I believe you. The older one was a little iffy though. So yeah, taz757! Get whichever one you want. The updated Ingalls looks nice. You don't have to worry about the ABS mounting bracket. Make sure that the Ingalls kit that you get looks like slikor's though. There could still be some older Ingalls kits floating around out there.

yeah i agree with Grey, if you have the [new] Ingalls like mine than the comparison is almost equal i'd say, other than the thing with the ABS bracket. i bought my kit from Inca, so i'm not sure where he bought them, so i couldnt say where you could get the 'new' kit.

Well, I think I'm going to be going with the SPCs up front and the Ingalls in the rear. Seems to be a half-way decent combo, as long as these Ingalls are the "new" kit.
