OEM Fog light kit?

Has anyone got the OEM fog light kit as an aftermarket and installed it? How hard it is (honestly) to install. I saw the instructions online and they said "not for the Do-it-yourselfer" but I don't know if that's for real or not. It does indeed look like a lot of work, but is is hard to do?

The install isnt to bad at all. The only real difference between the instalation is that the wireing harness from the fog lights in to the car will be ran on the left hand side instead of the right. Other then that its real easy
Good luck

Sorry, my bad on the search. Okay then, now I have looked at all the threads discussing the differences between the OEM lights and the OEM STYLE ones found at procarparts.com My question now, is, as far as installation difficulty, are they both equally easy? To save over $100 I'd like to get the OEM style ones, but not at the expense of a tougher installation. Thanks for you help!!

Oh, and one other thing... according to the instructions for the OEM lights, the switch is not included? Is that true?

No, the switch is not included. It's pretty cheap at Majestic, tho. And the OEM plug into the harness in the engine bay while the OEM STYLE you have to run into the car yourself because the plug is wrong.

But, they are equally easy to install when it comes to the bulbs.

Hope that helps.

Yes, silverdevil, that helps a lot, thanks. But one more thing, some other thread was saying something about a wireless vs. wired connection with a remote (??) on the OEM style version. Can you explain what they are talking about? I think I might get the one from proparts but I am a little confused as to exactly what I would be getting...

The OEM "Style" lights don't plug right in to the OE wiring harness. The wiring will be different. Personally I'd go with the real OEM lights for the reason of simpler installation and authentic parts. But then I have OEM body kit and spoiler too, so I may be biased.

I belive the harderst part will be cutting out the inserts in the bumper to physically fit the fog lights in. The OEM kit comes with a template you can use. If you get the OEM Style ones, just print out the OEM instructions to get the template.
