Good time to get a rear ant-sway bar?
Sup you guys...
I'm about to start modding my suspension and the only thing now I have touched were the tires. I have Ground Control Coilovers waiting to be installed and I just ordered a rear camber kit. I've got $200 left and that's enough to order the rear anti-sway bar I desperately want. Is it a good time to get the sway bar or should I just wait until I get some new shocks for my car first? Just curious.

I got the rear sway without any drop, or any new tires, or any new springs, or any other aftermarket shocks/strut
and I felt a big difference.
get it. you wont regret it.

The RSX bar is 19mm and the progress bar is 22mm, i have the prgoress bar and it comes with the lower tie bar too.. I dont think it should be a problem since they made it for our cars.

And now, I'm confused. I just researched that the 2k2s all have 12mm rear anti sway bars (excluding the HX). Was the 2k1 EX the only one WITH the rear anti sway bar? I have a 2k2 btw.
And I thought that if the car came with a rear anti sway bar, automatically it should have a tie bar, no? I was looking at the review for the JDM 22mm rear anti sway bar and it said the *EX* needed no extra parts (as in tie bar) with the new anti sway bar. So someone correct me if I am wrong.
um why don't you look under your car and see that there IS NOT ONE. no extra parts means it will bolt right up without having to buy anything to make it fit right. you still would need a tie bar. or maybe that is just my car and mine didn't come with a tie bar.

anything above 22mm can damage the car?? Cracks at weld spots or bent frame??? Woh, not what I'm looking for. is it my understanding that the progress rear sway will give me the rear ridigity I am loking for but will illiminate the problem of possible damage?????

Hehe, you got PMed... but to answer the question here, what they mean is you're gonna need the tie bar to support the bigger anti-sway bar so that it does NOT do damage.
And NOW, since this topic is brought back up again, I have another question!
If a 22mm rear anti sway bar is fine for the EX, then why are people getting aftermarket tie bars? It just makes me wonder - is it because the stock one isn't strong enough? I'd like to know because I'm finally about to receive it in the mail this week.

The JDM 22 mm is from the Integra Type-R right. When I talk JDM, RSX is nothing in Japan(still call it a teg). The RSX Type-S has a factory tie bar and the Type-R does too. It is already reinforced.

Anyhoo, it's on my car now and it's been on there without a tie bar for about two weeks (and yes, I have been driving the car maliciously when I get the chance ). I have a tie bar and it's just waiting to be put on the car. Most likely it'll be on there tomorrow. I wanted to powdercoat it black so bad, but maybe another time. I have yet to check my crossmember for damage but I doubt there is any.
