Anyone with a shop manual?
Can anyone here that has a shop manual tell me what valve clearances should be for my 02 LX? Also, if you could scan the pages that tell you how to go about doing the valve job, it would help out a lot. Thanks in advance.

my shop manual is for a 01 model ,what is it exactly u need to know??/ a complete valve job or just to check the clearance,i advice u to take it to a machine shop and make sure u have enough research about the dimension of the cylinder head ,i can send u more detail by email cus i cant attach anything more than 50KB here..
intake 0.18-0.22mm/0.007-0.009 in
exhaust..0.23-0.27mm/0.009-0.011in

civic...i tried to scan the pages but it came out either 2 large or 2 small to read.so i dunno wat to do right now... btw,,why do u need to adjust the valves anyway? i presume ur engine has very low mileage and the clearance should be up to specs, perhaps u wanna modify the intake/exhaust to make the engine breath better in order to produce hp but that job u refered to is not gonna make the engine gain any additional power, that is of course unless u have access to a machine shop to perform any cylinder work,i would suggest u look up on this issue b4 u perform any internal engine work,,in the mean time,,i will again try to send those pages.

I dunno....i can hear my valves clicking all day long, i think it may have something to do with hitting the speed limiter and the fuel cutoff producing some weird pressure phenomenon or something.

cool to hear the scenario had changed, i can tell honda specialize in makin engine of all type,i dont think the valves is tappin and u wont hear the rev limiter when its engaged, the engine may sputter but the valves will not tap.

No, I meant the speed governor...in my car it's set at 115MPH. When it does kick in it cuts of fuel completely and the engine pretty much "stalls" for a second then gets back to working like normal.

yeah mine cuts out at 115mph as well but the engine is not suppose to stall,i have a automatic and it may be different from a manaul but again,it should have nothin to do with the valves unless u rev the engine too high to cause a valve float, that is cause by the valve springs.need any help let me know
